Thankful Thursday!

What a crazy week! It was Josh's 5th Birthday yesterday. We have friends that we have not seen in years heading over to play right now. And Grandparents arriving for the Birthday celebration this weekend. Clearly, I have a lot to be thankful for...

~Joshua, my 5 year old who insists every time I sigh about it that he will always be my baby...of course he adds until you DIE mommy! sighhh

~That even though Andrew's hours at work are pretty reduced right now...he does still have a job and not many in the car industry can say the same right now, especially here in MI.

~I got some blood work done last week and my test results came back pretty quickly. They also were better than I expected. I had somehow never had a cholesterol test and feared the worst. But it was decent, probably need to get that good cholesterol number a bit higher... And my blood sugar was fine! Hoping my appt. tomorrow gives me some ideas for all the headaches I have had lately.

~Can I add, again that I am ever so grateful that we have insurance again so that I can go to that appt.!

~I am also grateful for the generosity of friends and family who have showered Joshua with gifts and cards this week...definitely making him feel special and loved.

~Finally, I am grateful for the cleaning fairy that had better get herself on over to my house to clean it before everyone arrives. Ugh, wait...that's me...well then I guess I am grateful I am able to stay home and care for my family...and I guess...including cleaning my dirty house!

Thankful Thursday!

I am taking time today to remember what a blessed life we have created here. I am extremely grateful for all of our blessings, most noteable today...

• Spring! It is supposed to be 80 today and I am LOVING IT!
• Resources that are readily available in times of need. (Library, Internet, Friends and Family)
• Having my Parents so close that when I desperately need to get away...I can leave Josh with people I trust. (Had a lovely couple of hours thrifting with my Mom!) Thanks Dad!
• Andrew! For, oh so many reasons...including how he puts up with my monthly emotional rollercoaster, that he works hard to provide every opportunity for our family, and for all his support.
• Josh for his own way of reminding me of my choices and why I made them. I vow to do better and be better!
• Forgiveness from my readers for publishing everything a day late this week....OY!

Thankful Thursday!

So much to be thankful for...

• Tomorrow we get a free day together! Andrew has the day off...which is very rare. We are planning a fun filled day together!
• Well...the weather has been pretty crumby lately but I am very thankful for the moments of sun that have peeped out in the past couple days.
• Bright Beginnings playgroup, this has been a lifesaver for me as a SAHM.
• Good health, it was a ROUGH weekend but this week has definitely brought improvement to my smallest guy. The fever is gone, as is the sore throat and headache. Even the taste issue that made him cry at every meal is definitely IMPROVING. Now he just had a bit of a cough.
• Cheap entertainment! Like Flick's Family Film Festival.

Thankful Thursday!

I am so very thankful for...

• the ability to pick a school that is a good fit for us.
• my DVR (Please do not judge, just being honest!).
• helpful people whose jobs are to answer phones and help customers. (Including those working at DR offices and Schools!)
• a certain small guy who makes me laugh at least as often as he makes me sigh!
• Andrew, who played with Josh after work for an hour yesterday, letting me continue my unplanned nap on the couch. I apparently nodded off with my laptop on my lap.

Gaining a bit of perspective...

Today I am oh so very thankful for...

• My funny, smart Joshua. He has been a blessing and a challenge but never boring!
• Andrew, he has been so much more than I ever could have dreamed.
• Our warm comfortable home.
• Lovely neighbors, esp. S, M & E.
• Parents and In Laws who love us and are supportive of our decisions and dreams.
• You, the community who I have gained so much, in so many different ways.
• Spring and especially breaks in the winter like we had the past 2 days!
• The unexpected opportunity that often presents itself when most needed!
• Old Friends who really know me.
• A's new job...and actually A's old job.

I live a happy blessed life. I hope the same for all of you!
