books tonight and there was a note written in cursive in one of the illustrations. He read it...I did not even know he could read cursive! When I expressed surprise he said, "Well, I already read through this book last night!"Uh...so? How does that teach you cursive????

I swear I hope his teacher challenges him well or he'll be bored!
I am a bit nervous about it. I think this year will be good but his K year scares me! They will be spending the whole year teaching kids to read...what will he do? I am determined to stay open-minded and just make sure they have a plan when they need it!
Here's hoping he does not regress at all like Gabby did! She was reading great at age 4 then went to kindy and lost a lot of it! Thankfully it all came back and she is now doing great again :)
I remember that...when you first came home, right? He loves to read so I can not imagine him slowing down at this point. He is already staying awake in bed reading with a flashlight. I guess we will see! So glad Gabby is doing so well.
