Menu on a Monday

I always make up a menu every week but I do not think I have ever posted it. Thought I might give it a try!

  • Monday~ Leftovers...seems like we ate WAY too good this weekend!
  • Tuesday~ Cinnamon French Toast but hold the syrup please! Sausage for the boys!
  • Wednesday~ Chicken Fingers with Spicy Garlic Sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings (we buy a bottle from the restaurant!) and oven fries.
  • Thursday~ Chicken Enchiladas and Salad
  • Friday~ Pepperoni Rolls! ...extra sauce to dunk & probably leftover salad.
  • Saturday~ Probably some sort of pasta with ground turkey.
  • Sunday~ Andrew requests grilled cheese. Which most likely means I will eat a grilled cheese and he will have a tuna melt. Josh may eat a grilled cheese but tends to prefer everything separate, so will have a scoop of tuna, some cheese, and crackers.

We've struggled with the 'what's for dinner' issue for too long. I am thinking of making up menus too. It seems we always eat the same meals, with little variety. Thank goodness we are moving into the local fruits & veggies season at the farmer's market (and our garden)!

Hey,

You should think about http://orgjunkie.com/menu-plan-monday . You are most of the way there anyway and you can share your menu and get inspiration and recipes from other people.

Best Wishes,
T

Girl,
You're so disciplined. I think i need post some menus to get motivated.

By the way, how do you make oven fries? And buying Buffalo wing sauce is such a great idea!

Oven fries can either be Sliced/chopped potatoes brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with seasoning then baked. (sometimes I throw the oil and seasoning and potatoes in a ziplock and shake!) Or, if you have no time...just throw frozen fries in the oven. The frozen kind are much healthier than fried from restaurants!

We just had the "bisquick" ultimate chicken fingers tonight! They are really yummy! I'll have to try the pizza rolls sometimes. Thanks for sharing.

I just realized we are out of bisquick! Hopefully I will get to the store tomorrow. Busy day though, have a blood test in the morning, then need to take Dad to his DR, lunch and home in time for Josh's quiet time at 2.

Jo,
Are you gonna be in town this week or next? Hope we can get together!

Marikje,

I can not even seem to keep a cactus alive! We live real close to Horrocks so fresh fruit/veggies are still readily available. But I would love to try to grow potatoes or something real easy sometime!
